Cruises are a wonderful thing and often people forget that the kiddos can come along and have a great time, It might take a little planning, but children enjoy cruising and there are a lot of things for them to do. Some ships offer day activities for the little ones while you are doing adult activities. The children can check in the morning and spend most of the day there. The children enjoy a variety of things and most of them can’t wait to come back each day.

Eating can be a problem, so it is important to choose a ship that allows open dining. Children can’t wait when it is time to eat and often enjoy a more kid friendly menu. Some cruise lines offer babysitting, but it is a good idea to consider taking your own along. The children will want to check in early for bed and the trusted babysitter can stay back with them while you enjoy some of the ship’s nightlife.

There are cruises for families and it might be a good idea to consider one of those. Cruising is something everyone can enjoy and even the youngest members of the family can come along, so start packing and make some memories.

If you are looking for a vacation, a cruise ship is often times the best choice, especially on a budget. When choosing a cruise it is important to know that the larger the cruise ships offer the greatest variety of activities.

One of the greatest parts of any cruise is the cuisine. The great foods will leave your taste buds shouting. On larger cruises, you will have a greater variety of choices for foods, places to eat and times in which to eat.I found some more information here. Larger cruises offer you the freedom to choose what time you eat rather than only offering one time. The food choices can also range from five star dining to pizza and fries. It is whatever you desire.

Another great variety you will receive in larger cruises is activities. While small cruises may only offer one or two shows, one night of dancing, and maybe shuffle board, larger cruises offer many more. Larger cruises offer classes, a great variety of shows throughout the day, multiple pools, putt-putt, art auctions, group activities, slides, volleyball, casinos, and many more choices of what to do.

With all of these advantages to larger cruises and at an affordable price, there is no reason to consider anything other than a large cruise.

Cruises often last for up to two weeks at a time which means more fun and sun but also more opportunity for safety concerns. If you and your family are planning a cruise, take a quick look at these cruise safety tips to help your mind feel at ease when you push off to port..
Leave your house ready: All the typical vacation rules apply here such as setting your light timers and notifying the neighbors that you’ll be gone. Don’t forget to stop your mail and newspaper deliveries and if you’re feeling particularly nervous about leaving home look into an alarm system by simply Googling things like atlanta home security or safety alarm systems.
Pack for a medical issue: If you know your kids are sunburn prone, pack extra sunscreen and aloe just in case. Also, be ready for any minor medical emergency that may arise like stomach discomfort or severe bug bites but don’t panic – nearly all regulation cruise ships have an entire medical department on hand.
Teach your kids about safety: Before you embark it’s worthwhile to sit your family down and go over some ground rules. The buddy system is always a great idea and your kids should know where and when they’re allowed to go off on their own. Set strict curfews for teens and be sure to talk about a meeting place aboard the ship in case you all get separated.
Stay safe this summer!

One of the most enjoyable and relaxation vacations that can be taken is a cruise.. Cruise packages will provide you with plenty of free fun throughout the excursion and if you are looking to kick back and let someone else do all of the work this is the way to go. One of the most popular reason people choose to cruise is for the all inclusive food packages. If you like to eat then a cruise is just the vacation for you.

Providing everything from huge elaborate buffets to burger and fries to small poolside cafes a cruise is the place to try something new and enjoy all of your favorite cuisines. Cruises will provide you with a buffet for all three of your meals and include all types of selections from the very basic breakfast stables such as toast or cereal to top of the line steaks and seafood for dinner. Each cruise will also offer a variety of smaller restaurants and cafs, typically catering to the cruise ships over all vibe. A cruise ship wouldn’t be complete without an ice cream shop; in most case you will find a wide array of ice creams, shakes and sundaes to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Taking a cruise is the perfect way to spend your vacation. Cruises have such a variety of activities, ports of call, amenities, and entertainment, that every one in your family will be satisfied and happy. Most cruises include all your meals, on board entertainment, standard amenities, and non-alcoholic beverages. There are some, however, that will include shore excursions or alcoholic beverages, so be sure to check in case this is a deal breaker for you.

Ask your family what interests them and what they want to do while on your cruise. You will find some that have ice skating rinks, bowling alleys, sports bars, ice cream shops, skeet shooting, and many other fabulous amenities. It is like staying at an incredible resort on the water, with everything you want and desire at your finger tips.

There are even cruises that cater to senior citizens, singles, and other groups. If you are single and want to get away and have fun, the last thing you would want is to be on a cruise that is full families with young kids. By doing your research and with careful planning, you will be sure to find a cruise for your interests. Educating yourself to all the cruise possibilities is key to having the best cruise vacation ever.

With the state department issuing warnings about travel to border towns (and even some beach towns) in Mexico as a result of increasing crime like rape, murder, and kidnapping it might be a great time to plan a Spring Break cruise opposed to flocking to and flooding a beach town. Also, most of the ports along the cruise route are party-friendly and because the areas rely so heavily on the tourist trade, you have a higher assurance that they’re going to be policed and patrolled more than some other less-populace spots like South Padre Island. An upside, too, is that most (if not all) cruises require that passengers be back on board by a certain time so there is less chance of anything untoward happening in the wee hours of the morning (our mind rushes to the Natalie Holloway incident in Aruba on May 30, 2005 when she reportedly disappeared in the cover of the late night/early morning). There are some down-sides for those looking to hopefully break the legal drinking age while on break, though; since ships do not allow underage drinking (whereas private land establishments very often let legalities slide when it comes to selling more booze). If a Spring Break cruise sounds like an option in spite of this, lines like Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian Cruise Lines are looking to fill their ships with confirmed travelers as early as possible, so there are some incentives to be had. We suggest you check around and see what deals you can come up with. And for those of you who are planning a cruise but are not of the Spring Break partying ilk, remember to check your calendars before planning your trip lest you might get caught on a ship with a hundred or so college students looking for little more than the next great party opportunity.

You bet the holidays are a great time to escape to the high seas. You can break away from the cold weather and board your ship that has been adorned in full holiday regalia with decked halls, atriums, and other twinkling and ornamented common areas that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. If you’re afraid you’ll miss your “traditional” holiday dinner, fear not; most cruise ships recognize the importance of this festive meal and include special holiday menus that include all the traditional favorites. And if you’re taking your little ones on board with you and worry that Santa’s appearance might be missed, most cruise lines offer up their Santa to help delight children of all ages and there’s usually caroling and eggnog to underscore the festivities. And last but not least, you know cruises are famous for their entertainment, and the holidays are no exception to this rule. Shows typically include holiday themes that are sure to rev up anyone’s Christmas spirit even after having spent a day lounging in the sun. How perfect is that?

A cruise can be the perfect opportunity for a dream getaway. However, just like any vacation there are safety threats on board. In order to protect yourself from robbery, illness, and other un-wanted surprises, follow these 9 safety tips as provided by Dr. Terry Riley through MSNBC.com.Check before you deckIn order to find the most sanitary vacation, make sure you read up on a ship’s report card. The grades are issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through their Vessel Sanitation Program. Visit the website to see how clean and sanitary your dream cruise really is.Don’t let too looseYou’re on vacation, so naturally it’s time to let your hair down and unwind. However, the same risks apply on a cruise ship as do at home. Be conscious of any suspicious persons and make sure to take the most public route back to your cabin.Keep your valuables safeInstead of relying on the safe in your cabin, use the ship’s instead. While this seems strange at first, some of the ship’s staff knows the safe codes for emergency cases. To avoid the risk of losing something important, Dr. Riley recommends you “keep most of your cash and valuables (especially your jewelry, return tickets and passports) in the ship’s safe.”Be careful of the cuisineWhile it may be a popular, high-class cruise, don’t be too trusting. Always check that your food is fully cooked and served right. As far as water goes, your safest bet is asking for bottled water (particularly on land). Just make sure it’s sealed when received.Be a careful drinkerTip 5 is pretty self explanatory. You’re out on open water and don’t want to risk getting so drunk that you fall overboard.Gamble wiselyIn accordance with tip two, it’s better to show caution than flaunt what you’ve got-especially in a Casino. To keep the thrill of gambling fun, Riley suggests you “cash-in your winnings periodically and take them to the ship’s safe; if you win big, ask for an escort.”Don’t forget the crewNot to say they aren’t trustworthy, but when you leave your room, don’t leave valuables lying out in the open.

Of course Royal Caribbean Cruises offers trips to the Caribbean, but you might be surprised by some of their other vacation packages. With sixteen different locations to pick from, the cruise line offers a variety of cruises all over the world. So we’ve put together a list of our top 3 Royal Caribbean Cruises outside of the Caribbean.AlaskaTake in the beauty of Alaska, and its capital Juneau, on a 10 or 14 night vacation. Guests can see the Hubbard Glacier, enjoy a helicopter ride over the Juneau Ice Field, and even dash along Alaska in a dogsled. However, those are only a few of the six activities the cruise offers. Alongside the clothes you’ve already packed, Royal Caribbean recommends you bring warm socks and clothes (windbreaker, raincoat, etc.). Australia/New ZealandWhether you chose a 12 or 14 night cruise, Royal Caribbean takes guests on the ultimate vacation down under. While there is a focus on Sydney, Hobart, and Wellington, other locations, such as Christchurch and Melbourne, give visitors a chance to view infamous landmarks and wildlife. In Australia, take a closer look at Koalas and Kangaroos, or admire the Sydney Opera House. As for New Zealand, explore Christchurch (also named the Garden City) and look out for the country’s bird- the Kiwi.Europe and the MediterraneanWhile you may not think Europe and cruise are the best fit, there’s no better way to get a complete European tour. Including England, Ireland, Scandinavia, Mediterranean locations (Greece, Italy, Spain, etc.) and more, guests can chose from a 3 to 13 night cruise. However, the shorter cruises focus on a specific area, such as Paris or St. Petersburg. The cruises will give you the chance to see the historical wonders of England, the St. Patrick’s Cathedral of Ireland, the Eifel Tower in Paris, and for race fans, a chance to visit the Grand Prix.
